HAVE YOU ALREADY MADE A GUEST LIST?
Start typing names and surnames and make a maximum number. It is important to give a rough idea both to the venue and the caterers/restaurant. Prices may change significantly with an increasing number of guests. It is also important to properly evaluate the capacity of the room choice, both to avoid that the place of the reception is excessively large, but above all to ensure that waiters can pass and people can move about!
ARE THERE MANY CHILDREN?
If so, think of an entertainer dedicated to them, so that parents and children can enjoy the party. The most popular arrangement is to have a table for children, usually in a room adjoining the main one, where the entertainer will keep the children busy and make them eat, alternating between clown performances, costumes, games, and face painting, so that children can have fun but also their parents can eat without worrying about them.
HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT KIND OF MUSIC YOU WOULD LIKE?
From a string trio, quartet, jazz, or rock band to a piano duet and karaoke. Think about your friends and the party you have in mind and you will find the answer. There is a wide choice of professional musicians, every day I receive many emails from singers and every type of group who are available for weddings. Usually during the buffet they entertain the guests, at dinner / lunch they play background music, piped in, and then the party really gets started after the wedding cake, with lots of dancing! Always ask the owners of the villa / restaurant what kind of sound systems there are or where the electric supply for the music is, since this is important to understand where to place the musicians inside the room or in the garden.
WEDDING LIST, HONEYMOON, WEDDING FAVORS AND INVITATION, THE LAST STEPS.
Remember that etiquette says invitations should be sent to everyone, because it is a change in marital status and soeveryone should be informed. Also if you have invited friends’ boyfriends, remember to send two separate invites, sending one unique invitation is only ok for members of the same family. So says wedding etiquette!
It is a very nice idea to create a mini web site with all the information about your wedding!
There are free versions that guide you in creating some pages where you can tell your guests how you met, give indications for how to arrive at the ceremony location and directions to your reception. It is nice to give tourist info for people coming who are not from the area and maybe advertise a collection “fund” for your honeymoon.
If you have done what is described up to here, you will be well underway! Then, on your wedding day, the beauty lies in seeing how every detail is as you dreamed, planned and finally is.
And do not forget to enjoy the party!
Good luck and best wishes!
